1. It's Gwyneth!!!

For those who don't know me, I have an unhealthy obsession with Gwyneth Paltrow, so you can imagine my disappointment when it was announced she wouldn't feature in the upcoming Avengers film was Pepper Potts. BUT today it's been revealed she WILL be in the movie. 

The above image is a screen cap of the Japanese Avengers trailer which was released today. It featured more footage of the superhero flick which we had never seen before, including this scene above, footage of the S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, actually speaking and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill.

I can't explain to you how excited I am for this film. The whole idea of making separate movies for these characters and then bring them together in one film is just unheard of in this business. It's been executed wonderfully and I'm sure it was a huge gamble for all involved but it's paid off massively so far and I'm expecting The Avengers to make huge dollar at the Box Office worldwide.  

The highly anticipated film stars Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L.Jackson as Nick Fury, Cobie Smulders and Maria Hill, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts and Tom Hiddleston as Loki is released in the UK on 26th April 2012 and in the US, 4th May 2012. HOW EXCITED ARE YOU? 

2. GaGa ain't talkin no more.

Soooo, apparently Lady GaGa doesn't want to talk to us anymore. How rude. Not that we I care.

Yeah so the story is, GaGa will not speak to the media, appear on TV chat shows or anything to do with that after she's done her interview with Oprah on 18th March. She hasn't really given a reason as to why she's doing this, and to be honest I'm past caring what she does. I used to be a huge GaGa fan back in the day, but I just think she's got a bit too big and I only really like her music. Her fans really annoy me too. For someone who promotes no bullying and acceptance for all, her "fans" are the complete opposite. They bully and put down anyone who says anything against their "Mother Monster" and it's just wrong and pathetic. I'm not saying all fans are like that because I consider myself a fan, but some of them. The things that trend on Twitter are awful. It just puts me off. What do you reckon?

3. Are you ready for some Revenge?

Yaaaaay. This is most excellent news. A UK channel has FINALLY picked up the rights to air ABC's new hit series Revenge!!

Channel 4 have announced they have picked up the rights to air Revenge in the UK and it will air on E4 later this year. Head of Channel 4 acquisitions, Gill Hay said: "This primetime soap is a delicious guilty pleasure encompassing all the money, power and privilege of the Hamptons and young woman set on revenge. It's a compelling watch, which I think E4 viewers will find addictive".

They will find it addictive because it is! I'm up to episode 17 and let me tell you it just gets better by the episode. Amazing stuff and I'm so glad the people of the UK finally get to see TV's best new show! I hope an air date is announced soon!

4.HBO cancels hit show, Luck. 

HBO has ordered production to stop on their hit freshman series Luck, due a third horse dying. 

In case you don't know, Luck is about a lifelong mobster played by Dustin Hoffman and his friend Gus who has become the owner of a promising Irish racehorse. Hoffman's character Ace  begins plotting to take over Santa Anita Racetrack in LA while getting revenge one the ones who sent him to prison. (wow it doesn't sound good when you read it like that but it's got good reviews, don't take my word)


Animal rights group PETA called into question how the horses were being treat during production of the show after 2 had to be euthanized during filming the pilot episode and episode 7. On 12th March a third horse had to put down and HBO agreed to end all production on the series which had already been renewed for a 13 episode 2nd season back in January to air in January 2013. 


The AHA (American Humane Association) insisted the stoppage of production should remain in effect until proper investigations were carried out, as the third horse did not die during filming or racing. The next day, HBO cancelled the series saying: "We maintained the highest safety standards throughout production, accidents happen unfortunately and it is impossible to guarantee they won't happen in the future. 


It was probably a good idea for the them to cancel it if the horses carry on dying. It's not fair on them, just to make a television show. I believe they've done the right thing. What's your opinion?
